South West and South Wales Lunch

Currently a date for your diary, 17th June 2026. Having explored various country hotels in the Bristol area, with easy access from the M4 and M5 Motorways we are delighted to have secured the prestigious THORNBURY CASTLE for our South West and South Wales Lunch which will be held in the Tudor Hall private dining room.
Thornbury Castle is one-of-a-kind destination, forged of imposing stone walls and steeped in palatial luxury. Constructed in 1511 by Edward Stafford, 3rd Duke of Buckingham, who was executed for treason in 1521, resulting in Henry VIII confiscating the unfinished castle.
Henry VIII stayed there with Anne Boleyn in 1535, but after falling into disrepair, following the English Civil War, it was restored by the Howard family from the 1820s onwards. Today, it operates as a luxury hotel and restaurant, and is a splendid new location for our lunch.
The hotel will be pleased to take room bookings for the night before or the night following the lunch, which would allow fellows and guests to take full advantage of what the hotel has to offer.
Further details will follow ASAP and tickets will go on sale on 1st January 2026
