Visit to Bremont Watches – Afternoon Tour

Thanks to our committee member, Tim Tozer, using his valuable connection with the Bremont Watch Company 25 fellows and guests enjoyed a fantastic tour of Bremont’s HQ in Henley on Thames. In their reception area there was an immediate connection with automotive with a lovely Austin Healey 100 on display.
Bremont proudly operates the only end-to -end watch manufacturing in the UK from their hugely impressive premises “The Wing” where over 100 colleagues design, develop, assemble, test and service a range of exclusive time pieces. They currently produce circa 10,000 watches per year, many celebrating the spirit of British adventurers and explorers, including a very close association with the military. The attention to detail in the design is wonderful, and lucky owners of their watches have something very special indeed
We were made very welcome and our team divided into a morning and afternoon tour, but we were able to all meet up over an excellent buffet lunch. Our tour guides were very well informed and gave us a very good insight into the business’s progress since its launch by brothers Nick and Giles English in 2002. We felt very privileged to meet the company’s CEO Davide Cerrato who joined the company in 2023, having already had an impressive career in the watch making industry across Europe, as well as Stephane Pichavant who has recently joined as CCO. Davide gave us an overview of their plans for the future and we then had a short Q&A session.
It was agreed with Bremont that a proportion of the event fee would be donated to their chosen charity, London Air Ambulance and to Ben our own charity. £250 to each.
As with all Fellowship events we had time (pardon the pun!) to catch up with friends and indeed meet guests. Without doubt a really fantastic event, something quite different to what we have done in the past and again our thanks to Tim for making all the arrangements and ensuring everything went off like clockwork (sorry another terrible pun!)
We are looking to have a repeat of this visit in 2026 and I am sure that everyone who attended yesterday would give it a big thumbs up.
