Thames Boat Trip

Despite the weather not being the kindest we had another splendid trip down the Thames, taking in the wonderful riverside sights. Whilst numbers were a little down on previous years due to one or two regulars not being able to make it, it was great to have several guests making their maiden voyage.

There was much fun and laughter and it was rewarding to see everyone enjoying each others company, rekindling friendships and making new acquaintances.

A super two-course lunch was served on board which was very well received, with assorted beverages being served at the bar. The crew are always very attentive and Captain Gareth provided an interesting commentary as we passed a number of notable landmarks.

This event is very special as it allows fellows to bring along partners and friends and we will continue to seek other suitable events to cater for lady members and our partners.

Thanks goes to Tina Steele for liaising with the boat company to ensure everything went smoothly, and of course to all attendees for making it such a fun day.
