Visit to Lotus Cars

On the morning of Thursday 15^th June, we are delighted to offer FMI members the opportunity to tour Classic Team Lotus and the new Chapman Production Centre in Hethel, Norfolk, the home of Lotus since 1966. Tours have recently restarted after a five-year hiatus, during which time there was a £100m redevelopment to establish the Emira production line, among other things.

The tour with a knowledgeable Lotus specialist allows visitors unparalleled access to the manufacture and hands-on assembly of the latest Emira as well as the opportunity to lose yourself in a unique collection of the most historically significant racing Lotuses ever, comprising Team Lotus F1 cars driven by some of the most famous names in motorsport history, including Senna, Fittipaldi, Clark, Mansell, and Andretti.

This immersion into one of Britain’s most revered sports car companies is great value at a discounted £110 per head for Fellows. Numbers are limited to 20 and will be secured on a first come first served basis. Participating Fellows are invited to come together for lunch after the morning’s tours, at the famous Bird in Hand, Wreningham. This pub is well supported by the car maker and patrons can enjoy great food and drinks surrounded by Lotus memorabilia.
